Fireflies and Evolution of Dance
5th and 6th Graders and the Bearytones (4th-6th Choir) performed at Pop Concert on Thursday, November 7th. They were amazing! Congratulations on a great performance!
These are GREAT! You seem like the right person to ask about this, when I order the music for these songs the accompaniment CD seems to be incredibly expensive- why is that? Do you buy it even though it's listed at $50? I pay for all my music myself (no budget as of yet), but I really want to be able to practice these songs with the CDs, so I'm not sure what to do.
This arrangement of Fireflies is from Music Express Magazine (December 2011). I'm not sure what the cost to get it individually would be, but I really liked the arrangement. The Dance Evolution one is just down right expensive! It's worth it though. I saw a few performances online where they used piano accompaniment and it just isn't the same.
Hi Mrs. King! I'm doing Fireflies with my MS choir this year (the same arrangement). I love the idea of using flashlights! Did you do anything special to the flashlights, or are they just regular flashlights? Thanks!
The kids brought in their own flashlights so some where smaller than others and some were more LED than not, but all in all...just regular flashlights with spectacular kids!
If you'd like the flashlights to have a yellow glow, we've covered the top of each flashlight with a small piece of tissue paper (fasten with a rubber band). Works like a charm!
